In this lesson, we discuss how we can Add Pages in WordPress. In order to enable the users to use multiple web pages of your website efficiently, we should manage the web pages in a proper manner so that it can be easily understood. Pages are the basic tool of your website which is used to present static content. Adding pages is similar to adding posts. We should not confuse between pages and posts. Pages are outside the normal blog and are not displayed along the rest of the posts but displayed individually. You can make your custom page and design the page according to your use. That’s the benefit of making pages. So we should know how to manage pages.
Find below-mentioned points to Add Pages.
Step (1) − Navigate to Pages > Add New option from your wp-admin panel.
Step (2) − A new window will appear & add the title to your page by clicking on Enter title here field. The title will be your page name.
Step (3) – You can write your content in the below field, that will be the content of your page. You can write in visual mode as well as in text mode. The difference is if you write in visual mode it will display in the same manner as looking while typing. The text is simply like simple text and you can use HTML tags in text mode. Don’t use HTML tags in visual mode.
Step (4) – On the right-top side of the page, you will see Publish Options. Here you can see some option which can change according to your need. You can change the settings by clicking on edit option. You can change the visibility according to your need. You can change publishing date and time also.
Step (5) – You can also change the parent page of your current page. See below screenshot.
Step (6) – Finally, click on publish button given on the right side of the page to make your page active on the website.
