In this lesson, we discuss about WordPress Media Library. The WordPress Media library is essentially a directory of all of our media files such as images, videos, and other documents. It does not just hold your media but you can also work with them. WordPress holds the records according to upload date, month and year. WordPress provides a facility to search your media files. You can view, edit and upload your media files. You can also use other plugins with your library to perform many important functions. So this is a great feature of WordPress. Here we will show how we can work with Media library.
Find below-mentioned points to understand about Media Library.
Step (1) − Navigate to Media > Library section from your wp-admin panel.
Step (2) − A new window opens. You will see a new window. Here two types of mode to show image is available. By default, it is in Grid mode. You can change it to list mode by click on option shown below:
Step (3) – You can filter your media by selecting your media type whether it is image or video or else.
Step (4) – You can also filter by selecting the Month of media uploaded.
Step (5) – You can delete multiple files by clicking on the Bulk Select button and then select multiple files you want to delete and then click on Delete Selected button.
Step (6) – You can also search your media items by entering the name of your media in the Search Media Items field.
